Hey, so, I don't want to soil your mood or step on any toes, so if you don't want to talk about it at all you can just tell me, but I was sending the Navarch a message awhile ago and saw you'd been there posting about the Malekith guy?

We're temped, and I'm not psyched out by it, but if you had anything specific that'd be good to avoid or anything— well, I'd take it.

[He's glad she came to him so he didn't have to get up the nerve to bring it up. Seeing her paired with Malekith was bad enough, but him and a spare? And he knows nothing about Amanda.]

I'm happy to help, but what I know is a mixture of legend and very personal tragedy. Not inaccurate necessarily, but...skewed, certainly.

[There's a pause as he decides where to start.]

He's the king of the dark elves. An ancient race from before the universe properly existed. My grand-- Odin's father put down their attempts to bring back ancient darkness and snuff out all life but their own race. And yet that war led to the dark elves being nearly annihilated. Malekith led them.

Then he and the few other survivors disappeared.

But what makes this story personal is when he came back. Tried to bring darkness again, and in the process... [His voice is tight. But he forces it out.] In the process, he killed my mother for standing in his way.
